strange dash read out

Have an 06 duramax that has been giving stange read outs on the dash. One item has to do with check brake system and the other one is RANGESHIFT INHIBTED and SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM. These seem to occurr on start up mostly and the speedo fluctuates at the same time. Any ideas? The truck is bone stock with about 50k on it. Thanks. Niels.

could it have something to do with the gauge cluster? I heard somewhere that there were problems with the speedo to tranny connection. Any ideas?

Also, you might have some grit or something affecting the Neutral Safety Back Up (NSBU) switch.

I have had the brake service message maybe 3 or 4 times since new , always happens when I am loaded heavy and hit the brakes hard ,code goes away on it's own and never had a problem, I would call it a nuisance code if it does not happen again, also check the master fluid level. not much help but was not a problem.

Yes truck is completly stock and has not pulled a load yetsince we have had it. where would yo find that switch? Thanks
