My '06 LBZ just went out of warranty .. 37 mos. I have 32k miles on it. In the last two weeks I have had the low coolant level indicator come on the DIC. I topped off the reservoir but it spit it back out in the driveway the next day. I filled it cold to the tank seam. I took it to the dealer and he pressure tested the system and told me no leaks. Yesterday, I had to top it off again. The cap seems to be holding pressure and I cannot find anywhere on the block that could be leaking.

Where is my coolant going? I hope its not a head gasket. Anyone with any ideas?

Don't forget your coolant is part of your engine warranty 5/100,000 if it's a head gasket.

If it's a water pump your on your own, normal wear item I guess they call it.

Maybe your coolant cap is bad, if your only running the 65 horse predator I don't think it would be head gaskets, but I have been wrong before.

I bought a new reservoir cap yesterday and will see this morning whether or not this resolved the problem. Will keep ya posted.

I got an h2o pump at about 96k miles...

$100 under the diesel 5/100 warranty... Hopefully its the cap, or something simple, but if it does turn out to be the water pump, there is hope.

**UPDATE**

The reservoir cap didnt fix the problem so I took it to a local shop. They pressure tested the system again and found that a couple of the cheapo clamps were leaking on the lower radiater hose. They also found a leaky power steering line so replaced that as well. All should be good again and I hope I have no more problems. Thanks for the suggestions.

we have seen that several times now, we also have put a few sets of headgaskets on if they are the old style.
