Snow!

Finally have enough to plow. Though not a plowing related question might be the best place for it anyways..... Any of all y'all happen to run tow/haul mode during winter when not towing? Thinking that the tranny slowing things down makes for easier stops in this lovely weather? Tried it out, seems to be work. Any thoughts?

Well its better than slamming on the brakes but id drive normal with the trans in the normal operating selection and just give myself plenty of time to stop, also if your 4wd then put it in 4 high to be able to actually DRIVe better but remember it doesnt help you slow down.

If you do any pulling id figure use your pulling weights to hang some extra weight over your turning wheels and most importantly your main breaking wheels, if your hanging a plow then you should be good.

Driven on snow long enough to know better than to drive much differently during the winter anyways..... The four high does help stop somewhat more in a controlled fashion, hard to describe as much better but it is different in my experience. I was just messing around and bored one day and thought I would try TH and just curious if anybody else has..... Found it to be similar to a 'tiptronic' tranny setup.....
