The EFILive Scan Tool supports scanning, clearing and logging for the OBDII 6.5L Diesel Engine. Tuning is not yet supported. We do have plans to add tuning support sometime in the future, but it's not currently on the horizon.
FlashScan V1 Scan only is $249 and FlashScan V2 Scan only is $399. Both devices will support 6.5L.
Attached is a list of supported parameters.

Interesting, but if I'm reading description correctly, this is a enhanced reader sort of like a Snap-On MT2500, does EFI tool have any bi-directional command capability, commanding time set, TDC offset learn, theft deterrent code learn, idle control, TCC lock, etc.

Your 110% right. Simply put there is no tuning or bi-directional controls - our support covers code reading/clearing and logging only.
The purpose of my post was to raise awareness of this feature. There are many guys with EFILive for their DMax's that have the ability to help out a buddy with a 6.5L given you don't need a license to read/clear or log.

But no love for the 6.5 OBDI guys....(like me) :( ;)
That's okay, I still haven't figured it out on the Dmax yet... :D

But no love for the 6.5 OBDI guys....(like me) :( Well not yet anyway...
FlashScan V2 will eventually support scanning on all OBDI GM vehicles using the ALDL 8192 baud protocol. A cable (or adapter) will be available from EFILive, or from various regional resellers.
Tiiming for OBDI support will be when EFILive V8 is released; at this stage my guess is very late this year or sometime next year.
EFILive V8 software will only be compatible with FlashScan V2 due to various constraints on FlashScan V1.

Not to steal your thunder but a free 6.5 OBD-I laptop scan tool exists, from Engh Motors, the pay version has bi-directional abilites as well.
EFI folks/Cindy, possibly you can look into one getting one of those and see how it can be incorporated into your system to have a all in one tuner.
I have snap On Mt2500, plus a OBD-I scan tool from Engh, a VAG-Com for my VW TDI, and am looking at Auto Engunuity for enhanced capability over the MT2500 for my OBD-II 6.5 needs. I don't know much about Dmax but since that is trend for new vehicles sold, I'd love to learn it and have a tool that supports all GM Diesels in 1 tool.

Your not stealing my thunder. The point of my post was really to make it known that those of you with EFILive are able to assist those with an OBDII 6.5L.
We intend down the track to add tuning support for OBDII 6.5, and scan support for OBDI.

It's been a little over 2 yrs now, so is 6.5 tuning still in the works or has that been scrapped since this thread started?

Tuning the OBDII 6.5 hasn't been scrapped, but there are too many "current" ECM's that will take priority over an ECM that finished production over 10 years ago. Ross doesn't have a time frame, but I can't see it on the radar for the next 18 months at least.
Incorporating OBDI 6.5 Scanning support is still a feature we intend to add for FlashScan V2 with the V8 software currently in development. The development process is long and complicated and given the age of the ECM, it is also sitting right at the bottom of the development list.
We haven't given up, but both projects are a really REALLY low priroty given we are committed to delivering support for at least 10 new controllers this year. All of these controllers are either for current production vehicles, or in the case of some of the Cummins ECM recently out of production but obviously still modern and in plentiful supply.
Cheers
