Ive been wanting to do this so i started tonight on it.
I first ran a 12 volt ignition hot wire from the sorce to one side of my switch. The other side of the switch goes to a "Y" that then splits off to the C1 connector on the ECM. You then have to find pins 8 and 60 to tap into. Only problem is, is that my C1 doesnt have any numbers!! I know im looking right at it but still cant find anything! Any of you guys know where exactly pins 8 and 60 are?

Look closer, they are numbered real tiny.

Pimped out the magnifying glass and saw nothing either. i dont know how many times i started over counting down to 8 and 60 from 96

Got everything wired up, and C2 connector slides right in....but the C1 doesnt!
Ive tried every which way for the last 2 hours.
called Dave and maybe tonight he can work his magic!

I have the "elevated idle" feature in my DIC, but that only comes on below a preset temp, ie coolant and/or ambient, and then shuts off after the coolant hits 150*
Having a manual high idle, i can flip a switch hit cruise and it will idle up to 1200. i think it will help in the summer months of AZ

Why would you want to idle higher in the summer months?

Easier on the motor for the A/C output, and fan speed is higher.

easier on the motor for warmup in the cold. with nicks race tune and coolant temps of high 40's she dont like it very much

it works! i get 850rpm when the switch is on, and 1200rpm when i set the cruise!

Besides, I don't think we want everyone to do it just like Brian did... I'd have to drive to everyone's house to reconnect the ECM, and Brian's install requires a battery charger or jumper cables to complete. ):h
