Looking for opinions. I'm in the market for new wheels but don't have a big budget. Right now, I'm torn between a set of Cragar Black Soft 8 (397 Series)

http://www.cragarwheel.com/images/products/397.jpg

Rim Size 17x8
Backspace 4 1/2
Load rating 3650

Or the ProComp Rock Crawler Series 97

http://www.4wheelparts.com/aux_incl/images.ashx?i=Series97.jpg&partNo=PCW&w=200&h=200

16x8, 8 on 6.5 Bolt Pattern
Backspace 5in.
Max Load = 3400lbs

I like the load rating on the Cragar, but I think the 5" offset on the Rock Crawlers will be closer to stock. The 3400 lb rating is probably plenty for the camper I'll be hauling but the Cragar's would let me go to the 285/75R17 tires with a 3950 lb rating. Problem with that scenario is with the 4.5' BS, I may have rubbing issues. I'm not opposed to a few cranks of the t-bars, but I don't want to add a lift. My CG is going to be high enough with the camper.

I'm leaning towards the Rock Crawlers unless anybody has anything bad to say about them or the 5" BS.

Thanks for your thoughts.
Dan

PS: As a side note, I'm waiting for confirmation on the specs on the Rock Crawlers. ProComp lists a 97-6881S4 (4 inch backspace) on their online catalog, but not the 97-6881S5 (5 in backspace) as posted on 4wheelparts.com. If it turns out to really only be a 4" BS, I'll go with the Cragars

Edit, this will be on a NBS 2008 Chevy ECSB 2500HD

Cragar. The 17's with the tires you called out would look good. I don't really think you'll have a rubbing problem, but I have a classic, not a NBS.

I would go with the 17's.
