Yep its a downpipe.

It wasnt too hard to get it on and i am talking with
steve right now and writing up a DIY for the exhaust section, all in all it didnt take that long and all i had to do was run out and get an 11mm deep well to get the clamps off.

I found an easy way to get the stock pipe out with it intact(i know some people said they chose to cut it and some said it was dificult) it will be in the write up with pics. Basically i took the trans dipstick completely out and then took off the heat shield from the stock pipe pulled it up out of the way and then unbolted the pipe and dropped it right out didnt even have to touch it.

It will all be in the write up in more detail. :thumb:

it's the pipe that runs out of the turbo and connects to the front pipe of the exhaust.

Exactly.

(As the exhaust flows) The downpipe goes "down" the back of the engine. Hence the name. The Uppipes, go up (as the exhaust flows) the back of the engine to the turbo from the exhaust manifold.

Interesting that your v-clamps were 11mm...mine were 12mm, maybe gm is using "any" parts they can nowadays ):h I also did loosen the trans dipstick, but not pull it out.

I pulled it out to get more room(i probly didnt have to after i unbolted the heat shield from the pipe and pulled it out of the way), yep 11mm got the job done they might have switched from the LLY to the LBZ i dont see why they would though.

Nah this is easier, mainly cuz you have a lifted truck, my lowrider pimp mobile was harder.

I can sit fully crosslegged and upright under mine.

Helpful for Airdog install. Not so good when trying to jack the truck up...lol.
