GM recently released an updated OS for the LMM's. Of course, their reasoning was bland and nondescript. I went through it looking for any clues they could offer to get better mileage ect. out of these things.
Looks like the main difference is the cold weather timing modifier table at low altitude. They made some pretty significant changes. They also adjusted the boost tables slightly and made changes to Max torque vs. RPM 1. After 2600 RPM it's pretty much dead.
Just thought you all might be curious, or want to try the updates in this OS in your older trucks.
I've attached a script I built from an '08 7083 operating system that updates the tune to the 8594 changes I described (except the torque limiting, because this is a performance forum:)).
