What makes you switch to delo? And do you think delo would be a good choice for a break in oil?

I think rotella or dello would be good for break in. Then at 5k if your interested switch to synthetics.

Most say run petro first or it will not break in. I don't exactly follow that, BUT since the first dump is quite early, it's not cost effective to use a synthetic so I use Delvac 1300 until I am ready to run full term oil change intervals.

I'd also recommend a good tow workout once you have completed a short shakedown run. Put her shoulder into it, but keep RPM's down and boost strong to seat the rings. Be sure to modulate load then coast as well...

How should I keep boost up and rpms down?

Put the transmission in overdrive gear then drive it a little hard. Boost builds the most when its on overdrive where there is more load on the engine.
