While I had the truck on the lift I was inspecting the front end and found both of my bumpers were eaten away :eek2: Looking around the only other thing I found was the lower bushings on both shocks are also worn and not tight fitting . What the heck is causing this? :confuzeld: The truck is riding fine and if I had not seen the wear I would have never thought anything was wrong..

Mine were liked that after i lowered my stock keys. constand vibration from the road and movement from the LCA acts like sandpaper on the bumpstops.

My truck has a 6"RCD lift and my bumpstops touch the lower a-arm at ride height. I don't worry about it.

The only things that I have changed are the shocks and the velvet shackels.. Everything else is the way it came from the factory.

My bumpstops are rubbing as well, and I am at stock height with no torsion bar tweaks.
Now that you mention this, I found mine to be soft in the middle. I could squeeze them with little pressure and collapse them. I just passed them off as poorly made. :(

On the lower shock bushings I have been suggesting the addition of shaft spacers for quite some time now. When the vehicle is on a hoist or even off camber at full extension, it seems the lower bushings get strained. Put it back on the ground and the bushings should be fine.
A stack of washers about 1/2" tall will help.

Thanks for the info! I was getting ready to change them out ...
