09 LMM Billet Pickup New sending unit

Started a minor build on an 09 LMM, posted this on some other sites, but here we go. Decided to start with lift pump and billet pickup, but gm has changed the sending units on the 09's, and (maybe 08's) Here are some pics.

If you look at one pic, I have my finger on the side of sending unit, if I drill here, and drill and tap the billet pickup, and bolt the pickup to the sending unit, and drill a few large holes in the bottom of the unit, will it work? I dont know if I should just reinstall and run off of the factory pickup, until somebody makes something that fits right, or try it. Or if anyone has a sending unit from an 05 or newer Dmax that they would part with, I may be interested.
