View Full Version : Finally dynoed the LB7
I made a few pulls on the dyno today and tested a few different settings with a best pull of 580.8 HP and 1073.8 TQ. I did not lock 4th with EFI, I will try that next time. I was able to log all the runs.

That seems pretty good!!:thumb:
Nice pull. I wonder why the torque dropped 170 ft/lbs in 100rpm?

Not sure, this is the first time I have ever been on a dyno so I have a lot to learn.

So how far can I push this motor with stock internals and not kill it?

No ones knows for sure. NWTDIESEL had over 220k on his motor and the last 10k or so was over 600hp. All he had was a blown HG but thats it. His motor was just really tired. How many miles do you have on the truck?
Also depends on how hard it has already been abused? :the gas:

I put down 741hp on my stock longblock. When I swapped in my built longblock I dis-assembled the stock motor. Crank,Rods, pistons, and head gaskets look perfect. I run a mild tune on the street and only get aggressive with it on the track or on the dyno.

Sounds like I need to talk to Nick. I do have a spare engine which I am going to start building here soon.
Thanks.

Wouldn't it have dyno'd higher if it had been locked it in 4th?
