does any one have a list of the parts that come in a suncoast stage three and four, and also the ats kits. I got a great deal on a converter and want to finish out the kit with the correct parts.
I was thinking I would need a transgo, converter flow valve, deep filter kit, and probably a set of stock clutches and steels. I was thinking of getting an upgraded c3 clutch set. I was wanting something close to the holding power of a suncoast three.
I'm open to suggestions on what else I should/shouldn't do or get for the trans.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Just realized this should be in aftermarket, mods please move

You better do some serious homework on your parts choice. Picking interesting looking parts out of a catalog and mixing them will lead to failure. You will not find a combination of parts that will hold power like the SC 3 kit. Pick a vendor and stick with his parts all the way. You simply don't know enough about the Alli to play these kinds of games unless you have time and money to burn.

Mike,
I have neither time nor money to burn on a trans build. I suppose you could call me an old school hot rodder. I got a great deal on a converter and now I want to build a kit around that. unfortunately I don't have the money to just go out and buy a full trans kit and call it a day. I have to watch for deals and buy things as I can afford them. I watched your threads about a budget build with great interest.
I appreciate greatly what you've done with this kit. I also like the fact that this kit will be modular so people could have the chance to buy the parts as they can afford them.
But, what about the guys like me? the guys who found a good deal on a big part of a kit and want the rest. I'm sorry but I want something that can hold 500 rwhp without buying the scIII kit. what can I do to make this happen using this converter? I read the threads and do the research on the kits and I see what the parts are. why couldn't I take those individual parts and put them together in my own kit? Isn't a transgo kit a transgo kit?
I'm not done doing my homework yet and won't pull the trans until I'm ready. I'd like to work with you on this. I also have a hard time cold calling someone to ask them a bunch of questions knowing I can't afford the answers. You have an unbelieveable reputation for answering phone calls and talking to people but I just don't want to waste your time yet.
Sorry for the long winded post but I had to get this off my chest. I hope you can see I mean no disrespect in any of this as I value your opinion greatly.
Thanks
Ben

Mike will correct me if I'm wrong:
Suncoast 3 contains 14 Alto C1 one sided clutches with thick apply plate. C2 contains 7 Alto frictions with kolene steels and .200 apply plate, C3 has 5 Alto frictions with kolene steels, and C4 has 6 Alto frictions and kolene steels. Transgo shift kit is included with both filters.
Suncoast 4 has 16 C1 one sided Alto's with custom machined apply and pressure plates. C2 contains 7 Alto frictions and kolene with a wave plate and apply plate. C3 has 6 Alto frictions with kolene steels and .250 apply plate with custom machined apply piston as does C4. A ring gear spacer is supplied to support extra C3 clutch. Transgo shift kit, converter flow valve, and some models get a special C1 dump valve. A pressure regulator spacer is also supplied and both filters.

Ben, I am almost positive Mike can sell you any and every part you will need. I bet if you asked him to sell you a SC3 or SC4 kit without the converter he would be more than happy to.
I know he took care of me when I was in the same boat with my ATS 5 Star converter.

i have heard alot about a C3 oiler and i am just wanting to make sure my thoughts are right, it is a device that sends more oil to the C3 clutches since there are less right. how do you install one of these and where?
