Tire KILLER!

I was wondering if anybody could help me find or has a sound clip of a aggressive sounding exhaust. I have a 07 sierra ccsb dmax. I'm looking for that growling sound without the spooling of the turbo coming out the tail pipe, if anybody can help that would be awesome.

You'll have to tune the turbo to be open at idle for you to hear the rumble when your truck is idling. I haven't heard a variable vane truck ('04.5 or newer) with any type of exhaust that didn't have the turbo hiss coming out the tailpipe - 4" or 5", with or without muffler, even stacks. That little change in the tuning though will give just about any exhaust a nice rumble at idle. I like my 5" Flo~Pro kit - it's very aggressive when you are driving aggressive but yet doesn't drone on the highway or while towing. We have put it on everything from stock LLYs and LBZs, to my LLY with the Cheetah turbo, and now on my built motor and 3.0 charger.

What do i have to do to tune the turbo open, i have a ppe programmer and i'm on +90 hp tune, i didn't go with the efi live because i knew nothing about diesels and figured i would screw my self with it, with all the things i could change. Do you happen to know what it would affect being open at idle and why it doesn't come that way?

It doesn't come that way because with the stock exhaust you don't hear the annoying hiss sounds so they had no reason to open it up. The vane actuator has to move less if it's not opened up at idle, but I've never seen it cause any problems.
You could have gone with EFI Live without writing any of your own tunes - that's why most EFI Live vendors include at least one free tune with purchase and offer additional tunes as well. I have sold EFI Live setups to many guys that won't even go as far as to correct their own tire size - I take care of all of their tuning changes.
