Hi there
our trucks seem to have enough problems staying cool without adding to the prblem,so i will add an element that wich more than Likely I know the answer..I have travelt trailer not too heavy and also a tonneau cover that canhold atv's,my wife like's atv's cuz they dont tip over=)and I like the 2 wheel variety of off road fun,I was thinking of putting a hitch receiver in te front of the truck but then It dawned on me ,a bikeup front would really restrict airflow and cause some ocerheting issues for sureIm looking for the silver bullet soloution I know any suggestions??PS I wa thinking of putting a hitch on the rear of the travle trialer but its old and Im not sure how the steel is back there

if your already having trouble with running warm, your right...you probably will have more trouble with the added interuption of airflow created by the bike hanging on the front.

The simplest soloution would be to add a V-2 to it, it's mounted low and gets its air from underneath the front end. The one thing I would also consider is the added weight of the bike on the front end, you might get with some of these guys who haul plows on their front end and see if any modifications might be in order to handle that added weight.

Hope this helps.

I had a problem with higher trans temp. inmy 03 especially when towing my 10k trailer behind up grades. I installed a much larger and thicker trans cooler from B&M (in the Summit Racing catalog). What a difference in trans temps this made. I would suggest doing this mod as well, your transmission will thank you in the long run. The oem trans cooler is an absolute joke, it looks like it belongs on a 1/2 ton gasser.-:t Also remember than the trans hot line goes through the radiator and if your water temp is hot...your trans temp isn't dropping either. I also have an Allison deep trans pan and all Transynd synthetic trans fluid as well. Every little bit helps to ensure a happy transmission.
