i'm quite satisfied with the s&b i'm running now I had the ppe mod and didnt notice a big improvement with anything other than slightly cooler intake air temperatures

Not real familliar with the Brute force, we have had great luck with S+B and their prices are great also. Let me know if we can help.

I am also a fan of the S&B intakes. My truck is still running the S&B LBZ box and filter while making over 820hp and running 11.1s.

I don't like the open filter style intake kits - they should be called hot air intakes IMO.

FWIW Chris (Dr. Holliday) has dynoed over 530hp and run 12.42 on a stock LBZ intake cut out a little behind the headlight. Since we installed an S&B we haven't had a good night at the track (he is in Iraq).

We put Chris's stock LBZ intake and an LBZ mouthpiece on Justin's (ChevyDieselLLY) stock LLY with dual fuelers and he dynoed 590hp/1100 tq on Dunbar's dyno. He has run 12.72 @ 107 within his first few passes at the track.

So IMO the stock LBZ intake with AC Delco filter flows plenty of air for a stock turbo.

You can also do it this way.

You know, what is weird is, I have the banks intake on mine. I ended up pulling the resonator off the truck cause it was held on at 2 points. The bolt, screw, nub, or whatever you want to call it at the back above the turbo. And the hole in the intake elbow. Since the elbow was replaced in the banks kit, the resonator flopped around, being held on at one spot. So I yanked it off. I didn't have to plug anything. Am I the only one? I see plenty of people with 03's say they had to plug theirs when they replaced the intake. Makes me wonder.(If I'm SPECIAL):h)

it's just a jim cap or pipe cap...to cover the opening for the resinator box, which is not needed for anything.
