Speed Sensor?

Im sure im not the only one that has had this problem before but i have an 05 LLY and my speedometer is not giving me the right speed. Some days it is at 50 mph and then other days it will be at 0 mph when i go to take off. I just need to know if it is in the instrument cluster or a sensor of some kind so i can get it fixed right away so i can stop getting speeding tickets :( thanks!

I have read about this problem on other forums. It is most likely the stepper motor that moves the needle. There is a TSB on this and the dealer will fix it up to 70k miles. Or my understanding is you can fix it yourself, here is link to another site with directions.

alright thanks guys! I will have to fix it myself because i called the dealer to see if this was something common and they said it was but they wouldnt fix my truck because there was something to do with my vin number? :confuzeld:
