Programmers like PPE, bullydog, diablo, hypertech...

just received, and installed my PPE hot+2. Set it @ 90 to check it out, and because i have to haul my work trailer again tomorrow.
So far, I noticed less turbo lag besides the increase in power. I like what I have seen to this point. I will update on my towing after work tomorrow. I wish I had it earlier this week. My job site was 68 miles one way, and that would have given me a real good freeway test pulling.
Hopefully I get an increase in MPG, but something tells me I won't be able to keep my foot from denting the floor board. ):h

had diablo. great starter handheld. sold that for Edge..was alright but sloppy tuning IMO. sold for PPE and that IMO is the best handheld out there hands down.

Currently have the Predator but would like to go with PPE someday. No issues so far. Had bullydog on my 03 and that seemed ok also.

I have a bullydog, and after seeing how a PPE standard runs, I am ready to seel my bullydog.. It shifts weird since i drive it hard all the time.. and it does not make enough power for me.

PPE tuners seem to be very good tuners, the hot e.t. really rocks the house...

Ive got a Triple dog, fixin to sell it to a guy I work with though, and buy the PPE Standard.. This truck isnt gonna get a high dollar tranny to support the PPE+2.
The Triple Dog I've got now is okay.. sloppy shifts in extreme setting, god fuel mileage in Performance, Tow/Econ is a worthless tune IMO.. Not enough smoke/power for my driving. Im sure a Transgo and PPE Standard will be fine for me on this truck.

I've run Edge, Hypertech and the Predator on my 04.5 LLY. I preferred the Predator on that truck the best. Edge was good...When it worked but I went through a nightmare of problems and 3 boxes, none of which worked really well.
I've run PPE, Hyperpac live data and Predator on my LBZ. PPE has some good tunes but I prefer Predator because of the sensitive throttle and excellent driveability. Hyperpac has some very nice tunes as well and its definitely got great power but my mileage sucked big time. I lost 4-6 mpg with Hyperpac, city and highway. To me, thats quite substantial.
With Hyperpac's tunes though, I can get full boost at half throttle. There's a very defined throttle position to where it'll scoot and it dosent take full throttle to do it. Its different but I like it. Trans shifts great at any and all throttle positions and it made the motor so much more throaty. I thought it was all in my head but it really does make the sound deeper, not sure why either.
For $300, you cant go wrong with the Predator though.
I've done extensive write ups on DTR for all of those programmers.

They have pretty small laptops these days, does that make EFI Live handheld now? Seriously though of all the handhelds guys pull off their trucks for me to custom tune them PPE seems to be the best.
