I bought the compression tester for diesel engines from harbor freight."item#93644"Found the correct adapter for the glow plug hole but it does not seem to go all the way inwithout the hex hitting on the head.Is there a to make it seal without going all the way in.Maybe wrap the thread with some tfe tape?

Teflon tape helped but I found a mist of diesel coming out of the #7 glof plug hole. That is with all of the injectors unpluged.:(

I have another brand tool and it fits fine. If you need me too I'll check the brand name.
Have you got a welder or a torch? Maybe you can cut it right under the hex and weld in a piece of tubing as an extension.

That would work great but it just sucks to mod a tool that supposed to work.but on the other side it came from harbor freight.

Remember there are two different setups required for a Duramax. One fits LB7 and LLY and a second adapter needed for LBZ and newer.
