How big a turbo can you fit in the factory location on an LMM ?? I'd like to use the Turbonetics pedestal with an S471 in the factory local.......this would be my high pressure turbo in the compound setup. Seems to me that the cowling might put the cabosh on that idea though..............

isnt the s471 similar sized to an ak5? if so i dont really think it will be a problem.

The turbine side of a A5K is smaller than a GT42 or T-4 S400 so it would sit lower than either the 42 or 400. The A5K is a K31 in a T-3 housing.
The compressor housing on an a5k is bigger than the compressor housing on a gt42 so setting it too low will cause interference.

Interesting. Up to this point I haven't heard of to many guys running a big single in the factory location on an LMM. Seems like if the 5000 fits than the S should fit too if not a touch better. This is the turbo I'm looking at for the high pressure unit.......

I can get you a Bullseye S471 for that price - with the standard cover like what they are listing, the race cover bumps the price a little. I'm pretty sure that an S400 on a turbonetics pedestal will fit just fine. The Turbonetics pedestal is 5.2" tall, for reference Rick's and ATS are both 6.25, and PPE is short. Having it higher makes it much easier to get an intake to.
