We tried last night to get our new project to start with no luck. We have a couple codes we're trying to diagnose:
P0335 - crank position sensor
P1621 - memory loss
The ecm will read but not flash - I get a battery voltage error each time I try. The VATS are disabled already in it. Tried a field relearn but it wouldn't work. Have fuel at the rails but injectors must not be triggering.
Any thoughts??

It will never fire till the CKP signal is there and stable.
Since it is telling you there is something wrong with the CKP and we can actually get to it, lets start there. What I think you really have is a shorted harness. But the CKP might lead you to the short.
First check that there actually is 12V across the sensor when the ignition is on. Then, with the ignition on, move the crank by hand while you check the CKP signal to ground. It should go pulse from +5 Volts to nothing and back every 6*.

That is where we were going to start tonight. A friend of ours used the harness to start an engine he had sitting on a workbench successfully. He had the same code then so hopefully we'll get it nailed down tonight with his help.
Thanks,

Put in our ecm, changed out a bad crank position sensor, and SHE LIVES!!
Thanks for the help!

That was fairly easy. :) Is it ready to pull now?

Not quite. The loops/shields go on today, as well as a few other loose ends. Dual CP3 bracket needs reinforced. Shutoff cables will be in tommorrow to install. Hoepfully will get to do a test launch tonight. Still debating how far we want to haul it for its first hook this weekend (it will hook somewhere).

Worked on it until midnight last night - again! Been at it every night this week. Still no test run. Finished up a number of other odds/ends. Needs a new NSBU that we get today.
I am leaving for MA Spring Fling tomorrow without the truck. Promised my wife some time away whether it was done or not. Tony will probably give it a test hook Saturday in Connersville, IN.
