View Full Version : EFILive Tutorial
I can see the EFILive subject taking a long time to cover in detail. Such detail will take collaboration between knowledgeable and experienced members and mostly from everyone that has seen this or that and will be willing to share. If you have a suggestion as to what you'd like to have included or changed, please don't hesitate to comment. If you'd like to be involved please, feel free.
Thank you

I haven't ever had the time to do it, but always thought it would be helpful to flow chart the tables. It's always nice to know where the "other numbers" are coming from.
I think we should start from the top. Here is the order that makes sense to me...
EFILive - Now what? (basic how to get started, tips and tricks)
Basic table flow chart. (show table dependencies)
Table number reference chart. (can come from the flow chart exercise)
Quick EFILive calibration change just to see it work. (let's change something and see it work)
Laptop Logging. (this will show how to log and also we can use this exercise to validate the previous exercise)
How to add more power. (general discussion and how to at a basic level)
DSP 2/5 conversion. (how to with screenshots)
Black Box logging. (How to with screenshots)

I have a whole ton of stuff of I put together for the EFILive classes. Here's a preview of the flow charts. I'd post them up, but I don't want them getting snagged and used by somebody else to teach a class.. :(

Thanks Dave and Nick for your replies.
I understand your concern Nick. Please post what you can when you can. Although " teaching " is not the intention of these how to's, we'd like to give our members the ability to have enough info to get started with EFILive to take out some of the frustrations we went through.
Thanks guys

I am also interested in this. Dave has helped me quite a bit early on to help me get started with EFI, but I read as much as I can on duramax diesels on the "20-20" tow tunes, etc etc to help, as you can always learn more.
