So.....for those not familiar I'm slowing turning my "has to be deadly reliable daily ride" into "oh crap.....just what I need another ridiculously fast vehicle." So what to do....what to do....

Well....you drive yourself a couple states to the east and pick up this and a 30 foot fifth wheel.....

Oh....and you have your good buddy Nick at Duramaxtuner write you a tune for it :thumb:

There was a lowered Red one at SEMA this year...

Todd you probably saw it, it was by the DUB display outside...

Yep....nice looking truck to.....the picture really doesn't do it justice.

This thing is KILLING me driving around empty.....it's almost like having the driver seat strapped to the axle. -:t If I can't find some way to soften the ride it's going back up on the chopping block.

Get rid of the leafs and go for full airbag suspensions. Just like the semi's

It's not the front that's an issue.....the rear suspension just doesn't seem right to me. The air bags fill and almost seem to max out and keep the suspension from compressing at all.....aren't the rear bags supposed to be adjustable for pressure ??

I'm 35 years old and in about the best shape of my life and an hour ride in this thing destroys my back :banghead:

My Dad reworked the whole suspension on his kodiak. He can help you if you would like......

My experiences riding in unloaded Kodiaks is about the same -:t

Buckboard dogshit.. feels like they need a subtract-a-leaf mod :)

Sounds like you're onto something with the airbags, deflate those things somehow.

I'll take all the help I can get these days :Handshake:

As for the rear bags......it does seem like they should be adjustable.....I mean how else would you get them to support full capacity then ride decent when the truck is empty ?

Anybody want to trade me a dually for this thing ??:(

It doesent have bags? Ours came with them from the factory and yes they are adjustable. Even the seats run off air and are adjustable. Yours must be the 2wd version? Ours is 4wd.

Owner's manual that came with the truck blows......wish I had some gist of how to adjust the rear bags as far as pressure goes.

The big thing is movement of the seatback.....it seems to have developed some play and rocks back and forth slowly grinding your back into dust. Anybody have a suggestion for new seats ??

Happy Easter Todd, im sitting here with my Dad and he is looking at your thread. He says that Monroe makes a updated kit for the rear bags because of all the complaints. He says they will send you the updated pieces/kit for free. I know my Dad has redone the whole suspension on his 4x4 kodiak including 22.5" wheels. He loves it now.

He would like you to contact him at tolf@pagosa.net

Back at ya my man :Handshake:

I'd be very interested in just such a thing.....let's face it free is rarely hard to beat. (If free ends up forcing you to buy parts you wouldn't have purchased in the first place it can be beat ;))

I'll drop him a line.
