I have a used II dual CP3 that supposedly came off an LBZ. However, the control box says 01-05 duramax on it. So how can I tell what these parts are really for? What should be different?

You could call industrial?

Give me the part# and i can check it out for you if you would like.

Would the # off the pump itself do you any good? Thats about what I have, as far as numbers go.

No, the pump will be good for all years. What does the regulator look like? Does the plastic connector come straight out or is it in the shape of a 90* angle? I would need the part # from the CP3 controller. Worse case cenario, you could get it all installed and try it out, if it doesnt work, just unhook the CP3 controller and put the stock belt on bypassing the 2nd CP3 untill you get the right box. I can get you the right one for a good price.

Yeah I guess that would tell the difference. Would the controller wiring hook up the same on either engine?

OK so now I've looked at the instructions on II's site and the parts I have are from an LBZ kit. The controller just has a sticker on it that says " GM DURAMAX 01-05 DUAL FUELER CONTROLLER". So it looks like with the right high pressure line, I could try it on an LB7.

I think Newly can answer this one I think the controler is made by ats now use to be from PPE the ATS one will work on all years last I heard or read from one of his post and Mikes MMLMM. So yes High pressure line would need changed and also might need to change out one of your brackets on the pass side can you take some pics of the kits. Were all here to help you best that we can.

Thanks for all the help guys, this kit kind of fell into my lap, and dad wants me to make it work on his truck, which is an 04 LB7. So far I've gathered that it came from an 06, an 07, and an 09 truck. All these were the same truck. The kit is supposed to have a modified cp3, so I have wondered if I could just use the regulator and gear pump on his cp3, but we run some big tunes on his truck, and may have some more air on the way, so the dual cp3 might be justified. I'll try to get some pictures of what I'm working with if I can find my camera.

also being that your adding it to a LB7 and it seems you have a LBZ cp3 you will want to match the FPR to each other.

well I managed to get one picture before the camera battery died. The regulator does have the 90* plug on it. I'll get some close ups of the cp3 and the controller as soon as the battery charges.

Yea, thats where i was getting at by asking what the regulator looked like.

I just talked to II, and I think I'm gonna just swap this cp3 onto his engine for now. That should be enough for what we are doing at the moment, and we'll still have the rest of the kit if its needed in the future. I really appreciate all you guys' help on the subject, trying to piece this stuff together isn't the best way to go but that's how I end up doing everything. Now I gotta do the same with some twin turbos.

Or maybe not. He wants to go with the dual pumps. I'm gonna try to talk him into letting me use my pump for his 2nd and let me put the lbz pump on my truck.
