Is there such a thing? It seems even the "cheap ones" are ~$750. Right now, I'm leaning towards this one (http://www.harrisweldingsupplies.com/hyperthermpowermax30plasmacutterhandsystem088003.a spx). I don't anticipate a need to sever anything more than 1/2 inch, and I need to cut expanded metal.
Anyone know where I can find it cheaper or is there another one I should consider?
Thoughts?

I have personally used a unit from parker metalworks for over 3 years. It's a plasma, tig, stick unit and I have used it on my truck. PM me if you want more info. Not an endorsment just facts. lol and your in Mesa and they are by AZ also.

Are you apposed to buying a used unit? Possibly a better price and a better performer.

Not opposed to buying used. This particular one says "Local pick-up only", and is in Colorado...

Sorry Dave, I didn't read that part of it. Too bad you didn't know someone there or couldn't talk them into shipping it. I have one like that and a Snap-on cutter and like them both. The Snap-on does a great job for what it is. Way over priced though.
