I heard Dmitri won, but I can't find the results anywhere... How did the rest of "team Duramax" do?
Hat's off to Dmitri! Way to represent! Awesome! :thumb:

Dimitri won, Dustin Mintern was third, not sure where Mat Handwork, or Doug Sanders finished. Owen Horst didn't make the show, blew his engine the week before.

Dimitri took first, Brian Parker's Dodge took 2nd, and I took 3rd. Brian Jelich's 7.3L Ford took 4th and I'm pretty sure Matt Handwork took 5th. Dave Saunders gave up and went home after an upsetting day on the dyno and another upsetting day at the track - he's got all the parts (and money invested) to make big power but it just wasn't happening. Overall to have the 3 Duramax's that were left all in the top 5 isn't too shabby. It was good meeting Dimitri, and a pleasure as always to hang out with Matt and his wife Kelly.

Wow, 1, 3 and 5 that is terrific. Matt had a bad turbo or would have finished much higher I'm sure. You all did great. Good going.:thumb::thumb:

Matt hurt the turbo during the race and it really hurt his trailer tow, then sled pulling it got bouncing and he got out of it to avoid breaking anything. Dimitri tried to let out and stop by the 100 ft mark on the sled pull (to get a re-pull) and ended up stuck with like a 101 ft pull. My converter kept unlocking on the dyno and with 3 hours of sleep over 4 days I didn't think to over ride it with DVT control, in the drag race I had a 2" long 3/16" wide crack in my header, and in the pull I hit the rev limiter just before the shift so it completely shut off fuel then shifted - so it completely fell on it's face and barked the turbo on each shift. There are so many "ifs" and "would haves" that if everything went perfectly for everyone who knows how things would have turned out. If I tried to say that "if I had a good pull on the dyno......" then I would also have to say "if Dimitri had gotten to repull the sled......" and "If Brian hadn't been told by David Kennedy to stop fixing his truck - that taking 3rd in the pull off still meant 1st place overall for the Challenge......." and "If Matt's turbo hadn't gone out....." - see what I mean.
All 3 Duramax's in the top 5 is pretty good in my book.

Seems like the if ands and would of gots always play a role every year. Yes even with the all the trouble the dmax's that finished did well, very well.:thumb:
