If 5 or more are interested we can get reduced shipping and a possible discount on the unit. These systems are small 21"x21" foot print and self contained no transfering fluid from one tank to another. Good for 50 gallons in 48hrs with only about 25minutes of user time. Basically all automated, hands off but costly at $8,395. If 5 or more people are interested, I will recontact Graydon and work the best deal possible. dave

I can see why more of us are going our own route and making our own refineries. Maybe I would consider the set-up if the price was more competitive with others products ??

IMO, that's twice what you should pay (if not more) for a good system, and I personally don't believe in the single tank systems... Do a lot of research. :thumb:

Actually it is expensive, but it is stainless steel with and seperate insulated heater no chance of fires and melting pvc tanks. Also self contained so no transfering of fluid from one tank to another reducing spillage. Also there isn't 6-10 flow valves and rubber tubing/piping all over to leak. I don't have an issue with the other systems if I were doing it outside, but I need a compact system to do inside my garage with my vehicles parked. Plus I don't want to spend to much of my personal time, I want more fully automated.

It does look like a nice system.

I'm not sure it will save you a lot of time though.

Here is the time involved steps and which you will have to do:
You still have to get the source.
You still have to add the chemicals.
You still have to drain the glycerin.
You won't have to drain your wash water.

I drain my own wash water, which this machine somehow does for you. That's the only place I see a time savings, but the time it takes to drain your wash water is not significant. Also, the system I use has a 2 micron final filter. Does this unit filter the fuel prior to putting it into your vehicle? I filter the fuel as it transfers into my pump tank. Once there, it's already filtered, and I can pump it into my truck with a regular fuel nozzle just like this system. (20 GPM fuel transfer pump) Mine does take up more room, but I have a larger capacity as well. (110 gallon main tank) I'm not sure what you mean about spillage while transferring between tanks... The system I use has a seperate motor for each tank and it's all plumbed, so there is no spillage. Also, it does use Poly tanks but the system is all metal piping, not PVC.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it, more just letting you know that there is a myriad of options when looking at bio processors. If space is a large concern, a single tank system may be your best bet. I'd like to hear more about it, and your thoughts on it, if you get it.

The system I have is automated in that it uses timers and thermostats etc. However, each step does require a human hand to start the next step. You either add the source and chemicals, drain the glycerin, or drain the wash water. Then set the timer and you're done until your're ready to do the next step. I would like to hear how they drain the wash water without any intervention...

Keep us posted.

Black,
wash water needs to be drained the system has an option for septic style plumbing which you can do on all of them. What system are you running what is the size of the footprint. I know the Biopro has a built in temperature for mixing does yours have an automatic thermostat or do you need to adjust it manually

Has anyone looked at the Dynadroit set-up? The 40 gal system I think is just under $5K, no plastic, but no SS either.

I know John put a lot effort into researching and designing it.

My system is from a company called Custom Biodiesel Products. As the name implies, he builds custom processors to whatever specs you want.

My system footprint is 33"X66", but keep in mind, it's a 110 Gallon main tank...

I'm not sure what you mean about the thermostat... you set the "set point" manually... it's automatic from there, but you have to set the "set point"...

Black,
What I mean is you may set the thermostat at 130* but it doesn't necesserily mean the system is uniformally heated and maintained at a constant temp during circulation. This is suppose to be where a steel tank system and PVC systems start to show differences as to where fuel quality can be effected

True. The system I use has a thermostat that you set and adjust to control the integrated heater. It also has a seperate digital thermometer to monitor actual fluid temps.
