My LBZ has 20K miles on it and has only been in the shop once for the brake control module to be replaced. What has been your experience?

Approaching 48k on the 06 LLY... Since I got it in Sep 05, only been to the dealer for a GPCM re-flash and to get the updated ISS. Other than normal maintenance (fluids, tires, batteries, alignment) I've had zero problems in almost three years now.

Very happy with the truck and I'll most likely hang onto this one until it starts to nickel and dime me.

EGR Valve replaced at around 20,500 miles.
4 X 4 actuator (leaking) early on at around 12,000 miles
Intermediate Steering Shaft is clunking now-going to get that worked on before warranty is up, hope chevy has a good fix?
Other than those things my LBZ and truck has done real well.

2006 LBZ 30,000 miles headliner replaced with new version, ISS replaced, power steering pump because with trailer hooked up it was a little hard to turn stopped. Glow plug recall. To be honest none of the problems affected anything, or caused any down time. The truck is fantastic.

PS door module at around 15k.

25k- Klunk in steering. Probably the ISS. Slight leak on trans cooler lines. Broken heat shield by cat that protects the trans harness. It caused a rattle sound when the engine dropped RPM to idle. I have heard of the bolts comming off of this thing but mine decided to break about an inch above the lower spot welds.

Uh, do LB7s count? Mine has only been to the dealer 1 time for new injectors at 180k. Im now at 204,800!!!!!!!):h

I have replaced a few things but not because they went out but because i broke them bein stupid. Ive gone thru 3 alternators and a ass load of headlite bulbs.):h 20 u-joints, a set of idler pitman arms, a driveshaft, some tranny pieces, destroyed a brake caliper, 4 sets of rotors and a crap load of pads. Ive replaced everyball joint in the front end, 3 sets of shocks.... I think thats about it.

Everything else has 204,800k on it! I do a lot of maintenence on my truck.

06 LLY, bought in Jan of 07. 42k miles

Glow plug recall
All four tires were defective/replaced
ISS issues 4 times and rattling again
blown head gaskets - might be gone again (10k after last install)
misc issues found after first head gasket replacement (failure to torque down injectors - among other loose items when it was put back together)
Pitman and idler arms around 35k
clutch fan replacement
and last, but not least - rotors warped.

This is my 4th OBS 2500 HD and first time with this many issues. 90-95% stock or mileage tuning (from SoCal). Every time I consider turning up the power, I find something else.:( Oh well.

Well maintained, as all my trucks have been and this is the first time brakes and front end wear needed attention b/f 70-75K miles.

15-16 mpg stock tuning. 18-21 mpg mileage tuning. 10-13 mpg towing.

31,000 miles and I've had leaky trans cooler lines, new steering shaft at 29,000k and new EGR (complete valve) at 30k. Got a nasty rear end clunk. Started developing at 2000 miles. Had it greased 4 times but the sumbitch keeps comin' back. 17-18 average 'round town. 22-23 highway, hand calc'd @ 70.

How bout some rust? Anyone got that? Check this out...This is 1 year in northern New York winter.

19,000 miles on the 06 LBZ and just had the two trans cooler lines replaced. One of the front door speakers going bad. 18,000 miles on the 07 classic LBZ. Both front door speakers replaced, drivers side seat switch replaced, trans rebuilt due to excessive tunage ):h, three axles replaced due to excessive weight in the sled ):h.

Drivers seat heater, reflaseh pcm at 2500 and had trans cooler lines replaced at 37000 and that would be it. Getting 19-20.5 but tweek the edge evolution a little in tire size to see what effect if any that will have. Tim @ SSJD also put in a stage 4 trans kit and converter, BD intercooler and AFE intercooler tube. Great work and soooo very helpful.:thumb:

I have 80k and the seat heater was a problem for awhile but mostly it's been in the shop at SJD and Vision Audio in Cameron, mo for upgrades. Pulling a 12klb trailer and thanks to timat SJD it pulls like nothings back there and Vision Audio in Cameron has put in a GPS JVC radio that gets me where we are going and now with the Denali retracting steps mounting and dismounting are way easier for this old Vet. Thanks guys. This weekend Rick Lance is putting on an intake bridge prototype so will let all know how it helps since we all know it will. IT'S BUILT BY RICK.):h
