So what is the deal here? I see some people say you can tell when it's in regen and your milege will drop like a rock and others that never seem to notice it...

Let's get the scoop on regen.

Here's a screen shot of a truck in regen (I believe). I can't think of any other good reason why timing would be 25*atdc. Things get very hot.

I damn near burned my hand waving it 5 ft behind the tail pipe during a manaul regen. :duh:

Try setting the timing at 25 ATDC and see if the truck will run.

This should be good.

I only have 700 and something miles so I wonder if it has had any yet?I am not use to all the little noises it makes yet so I cant say one way or the other. And I have not reset the DIC yet for average mileage and today it was at 14.3 highest was 14.9.

It probably already has, you cannot really tell when it is in regen sound wise imo

from what I have seen unless you have the scan tool hooked up, you can not tell it is in regen..... drove one the other day and temps were sky high, regening like crazy, no audible/visible changes at all...

you cant tell when driving if its in regen. you dont see a mileage drop all of the sudden either while driving. ive had mine 6 months and am at 12000 miles and ive never been able to detect it. if the whole system is removed, then you'll see a mileage increase:)

For the first few thousand miles my MPG on the DIC would drop about 2 MPG while in regen. But now (at about 6k), no change. Seems to always sit about 13 MPG regardless. Unless im towing, then I get a whole 6 MPG! Miss my LBZ!

Expect a call soon Nick!
