View Full Version : Aussie Headers
Heres a couple of pics of a set of headers I got made up here. Ive cut this set up now because Im not running any Turbos (only superchargers) But I sent Mike a set that he modified to suit his left hand drive trucks and Id like to see him talk about his experience with them. Come in Mike. They are made from 321 Stainless 3/16 thick.
Wow, those are very nice looking Mick. :thumb:
What size primaries did you use? They look 1-3/4's, but it's hard to tell.

Very Nice!!:thumb:
Now that you're running superchargers only are you still running the headers? Maybe with a true dual exhaust configuration?

Have you posted a sound clip somewhere? I'll bet it sounds like a 600 ci gasser.:D
Ya Rick, that's my take on his reaction to the sound only he said 1000 cubic inches. I'll be hearing it tonight I'm sure. :thumb: Or I hope Mick will be calling me for start up.

I measured the primaries and the inside diameter is 1 5/8" and the outside is just under 1 15/16". the wall thickness is just under 3/16".

They are holding up very well for me. I was in a hurry on my first attempt at conversion, and just didn't take the proper time and do a good job. Once I properly converted them to left hand drive they have been working very well with no problems. Thanks

I wish he'd start making them ):h Just too many projects right now.
Well the headers have worked very well. I hate to change them but I have to. I'm sure thinking about getting that charger out of valley and more inline with the supercharger. Doing so will require the passenger side header to be changed drastically. Or, I may just build another passenger side header. Rick, have you decided to build a out of valley set of headers?

I have at least one guy serious about a set. I was hoping to do at least 3 to make it easier on everyone's pocket book.;)

What do you want to hear? The sound of the supercharger?

The exhaust, the superchargers, the tires spinning, you name it.

Oh I see. I can get you a few of those pretty easy. Or, you can look around for Micks or EDPs ( Chads ) or Mika - over there, trucks. This weekend I'll have mine back up and running. A cat ( now named Vortec ) broke the drive belt and bent a bunch of parts of the truck. This kinda put a kink in the budget ( 1000 plus dollar Cat leg removal and leg pin ). Oh well, better now than it was.

Lol I'm a bit worried, the last time we let our guard down - Boom an engine took a -:t
Oh well, then a new engine will be in order. Just gotta blow it first so my wife will say Ya, you need to get that thing running. Not, go ahead and make it better now we will save money in the long run, Oh well.
