Anyone here running water/meth? I'd like to but just can't seem to pull the trigger. Since I tow, I'm looking for one that runs off a 2d map that takes both boost and EGT's into consideration. Snow has one... Labonte Motorsports is working on one... Who else has one?

Yeah, I've looked at that... It's a good price too. But for towing, I think I want a stage 3. (one that takes boost AND EGT into account) Am I wrong in thinking that factoring EGT's into the equation is necessary for guys using water/meth to tow?

how often do you have to fill the holding tanks for those systems because in all the pics ive seen on the net they dont look like they hold to much. wouldnt that get expensive or is it about the same as filling nitrous tanks, frequent and price wise.

Well, the answer is it depends. :D
Most people plumb them into the windshield washer tank. It holds 1 gallon and has a nice indicator when it gets low on the DIC. For guys that tow heavy and use a lot, there is a 7 and 8 gallon tank for the bed. A lot of guys just use washer fluid. The real cheap stuff without any detergent is what you want. It's about 50/50 water and meth already and they sell it all the time for ~$1 per gallon.

Supposedly you can go a couple hundred miles towing on 1 gallon, but again it depends on a lot of factors.

on how heavy your foot is and what type of grades and how many right? thanks for the replies i was just wondering but sounds good that you can use the cheap washer fluid cause its like a pre-mix plus the tank lets you know when it is low and on top of that you can still use it to clean your windshield. spose you could purchase or make a larger washer fluid tank then you could go a little farther. or plumb an auxillery tank mounted under the bed with a guard to protect against debris and plumb it into the washer tank and use a small bilge pump to push the fluid to the washer tank when it gets low. but then you would have to be a wiz with electrical. to make it kick on when it senses it is low, or you could run a switch for when the light comes on just press it and it runs for a predetermined time to fill it back up with an indicator light to let you know when it is on and when it shuts off. i sure as hell aint good with electrical. just an idea though somethin ta chew on. maybe ill try to mess with somethin and take pics for the diy section of this. post the prices of materials and how i did it.

Most of the places that offer this also offer a 7 or 8 gallon tank for the bed.

It depends mostly on the size of your nozzles.

would it be feasible to install one nozzle pre-intercooler and one post, just as close to the intercooler as possible?

im sure this is would cool pretty well. have you done alot of reading about intercooler cooling? there is a kit you can buy that is a cryo kit that takes a spray bar and mounts to the outside of your intercooler in the front and sprays it with a blast of cryo air (pretty cold) but why not take this system and mate it with another bar that sprays water at the same time. run your switch from the water/meth kit to work with these as well and as your spraying the inside your also covering the outside with water and freezing cold air. i figure this would be a fairly good benifit while your driving. im not sure if there is a kit made for diesels but you could modify it to work(extra bars to cover more surface).does this make sense like it could work or am i shooting at air here?

anyone know how to adapt the windshield washer tank to the labonte setup? the only other place that i would think to mount the 2qt tank would be just above the bowtie behind the grill.

i plan on running either peak +20 or -20. would -20 yeild more power with less egt reduction, and +20 yeild less power, with higher egt reduction? Am i correct?

Correct. More alcohol, less reduction.
