lol i wanted to go that way but i liked the factory look of this kit really clean. hey i talked with brayden and i decided to wait till later after we get this house situation squared away (sign the final papers tomorrow) they should be done building by the end of november :thumb: cant wait. soon as we move in i am putting the car in the garage and throwing my head and cam package on it and begin the tuning process lol we will see how it works. hopefully i will be hitting low 12's to a high 11 but we will see.

James I would research as much as possible before you go out and buy one of these cheetah chargers. Nothing wrong with them, but if it were me I would give it more time to prove itself.

Where did you get the re-route kit and how much? I saw this post the other day and looked around the site but never saw the product anywhere.

KC did his last week and it was easy and cheap. I can't see buying a kit to do this. It is very simple.

yea I did it with Home Depot parts, and I also did the Resonator delete.. I think mine looks very clean.. If I had the resonator back on it, you would not know I had done it.. Where did you get a "kit" for this at?

i bought my kit from a fellow over at DP sorry i haven't posted a reply to yall i haven't been on the site for a while. Tony Burkhard is his name/screen name, the only reason i bought it was so i didnt have to fuss around and go from place to place trying ti figure somethin out. his kit came with some really nice machined fittings that used the existing hardware for the PCV system and a cap for the intake tube plus zip ties to hold everything still where you place it. a little pricey but oh well i have some pics of the fittings(what you can see of them) in my albums.

I'm curious as to what the benefits are and if I would still pass the emissions test with a re-route?

Thanks!

If they see the reroute you will fail, at least in Calif....

Thanks. In WA state they don't look under the hood and from what I gather it won't show up from the tailpipe emissions. But so far I've read that some say it's a fad but others swear by it and I don't know enough to have an opinion of my own yet.

The PCV reroute is definately not a fad and works very well.

The benefit is it keeps you from sucking oil into the turbo and pushing it through your boost tubes and intercooler and into the motor. Add in the soot from the EGR and it makes a nasty tar that will coat everything from the EGR valve into the heads with a nasty layer of "tar". I've seen it over 1/4" thick.

Thanks for the information - sounds like I better get on this.

Were doing one on a truck right now and its nasty. I cant believe this guy bought a built motor and he still has a stock PCV, stock DP and alot of other stock parts. This guys PCV had a crack in the tube and oil was going all over the place.

Do you have to do the EGR block or delete in order to do this, or does it not matter. sorry i dont know a whole lot about this stuff

You don't have to do the EGR block or delete - they are 2 different things. PCV routes oily air (ventilation from your crank-case) in before the turbo - so it goes through your boost tubes and intercooler then into the motor. The EGR routes already burnt exhaust air with soot through a cooler and back into the intake tract just before the motor. The combination of oily air and soot makes a nasty tar, deleting either one is a step in the right direction, deleting both is best. If I had to choose which to do I would block or delete the EGR first - or disable it through tuning at least.
