Looks like I nicked a brick just wrong and it flipped up into the driveshaft and went kaboom.
Trans, driveshaft, exhaust, fuel cooler, abs module all took pretty good hits. And a couple holes in floor board.

Yup. Just went boom. All damage is floorboard and lower. 5AM, noone else near me on the road to catch a driveshaft thru the window or anything

Hoping they get it up in the air and start on it today.

Ins co has damages at $6200 so far.

Dealer hasn't touched it yet, but says it'll probably be higher

I usually do one, sometimes 2 runs a week. Very glad it is a part time/side job. But still, I'm out anywhere from $200-$2000 grs a week in income.

Going to male some changes as soon as its done.
I'll run it a couple trips to make sure its OK first.
Then I'm going to pull it out of the hot shot type work and make it my service truck in my business. Ordering a contractors cap, color matched today. Going to pull all the equipment out of the van, put it in the truck and sell the van. Haha I'll be the fastest carpet cleaning truck around. :)

I always found the local start and stop is way harder on the vehicles than the long hauls.

Glad it is back in your hands and good luck.

Put about 300 miles on it so far. Everything seems great, except there is a different turbo noise in the exhaust. Talked to Henry about the exhaust he shipped and agreed it was probably just the difference in the pipes.

I had originally had a banks cat back exhaust, then ordered the cat delete from merchant then was at tony b's shop one day and had him make me a muffler delete.

Can't remember what brand Henry said he shipped but said that front pipe might have been different than what I had.

Going to tow a Ford tomorrow :thumb:
