Well, I finally got around to installing my Mike L. trans cooler. This would be no great accomplishment except for the fact that I have a V2 aux radiator on my LBZ that causes conflict.
The original thought was that I would have to mod the upper bracket for the V2 lower air damn. I removed the airdam (from the top with the V2 installed which wasn't easy) and decided to "dry fit" everything before I started cutting. I'm glad I did, because the trans cooler won't sit on the frame rail it was designed to sit on with the V2 installed. The trans lines hit the V2 and won't let it sit there.
Long story short, I ended up returning the V2 back to the original configuration, and making some brackets to hang the trans cooler up higher. I'll post up pics later, but they now co-exist (for the first time on a LBZ to my knowledge) and everything seems good. I've got a pull scheduled for this coming weekend, so I'll let you all know how it goes.
I've already seen ~30° drop in trans temps. I switched back to transynd at the same time though so I wonder if that had any affect...
As a side note, if your remote start button gets pushed while laying under the truck with the trans cooler already disconnected, the truck will pump a lot of trans fluid out on to the garage floor before you can get your hand in your pocket to shut the truck off.:banghead:

Well done Dave. :thumb::Handshake:
As far as the lower temps; I know the cooler is the best I've ever used and Setrab gets all the recognition for this as they designed it for me after I gave them the specs but; the V2 has lowered radiator temps as well which lowers the Alli heat exchanger temps housed in the radiator so this is worth something. TranSynd has been know to lower temps by 10 deg in certain trucks ( not all ) and my cooler is good for 20 deg drop minimum ( depending on trucks ). Sounds like a great combo you have and all of us can take a little credit for this.

Here come the pics...
Since I wasn't using the OEM bracket any longer, I also had to make a new bracket to hold the OAT sensor.
I'm sure many of you will recognize the brackets I used to mount the trans cooler. I believe most people have them in their garage already. Anyone care to guess where I got them? ):h

No, but I did think about you when I was trying to figure the best way to mount it...
I thought..."Well, I'm definately not going to use zipties to the grille like Brian!" LMAO!

Hey I collect all types of extra brackets and spare bolts as they are avail. You never know when they will come in handy. Looks like they worked out great.
Nice do they make this set up for a LB7?

I believe Mike has '01 - early '03, late '03 - '05, and '06 and up trans coolers.
The '06 and up is the one previously pictured in this thread.
The earlier model looks like this:
