Wow! Does that apply to commercial vehicles also? I wouldn't get very far on 16 gallons a day. Where are you located?

No, this is from a Hess station that I usually buy fuel from, not a truck stop or anything. Sucks because they only allow you to buy $75 per per day unless you pay cash, and who carries $200 in cash with them now a days? ):h

I'm just outside Tampa, FL.

I have been leaving the truck at home and taking the blazer for the last three weeks.. Today I drove the truck to the job site because I need to pick up a load of pipe. I sure miss drivng it :(

In the morning I am taking off the Fan Damn and dropping the truck off at the Dealers so they can see what the heck is wrong with it.. Its a sad day when my POS Ford Ambulance diesel sounds better than my Dmax...

My Canadian in-laws are getting it stuck to em' as well. They haul produce from Quebec to Ca. and have been sitting at home for the past few weeks with three rigs with refer. trailers. Try buying fuel by the Liter !!

4.59 in town here now and I heard it just jumped to 4.70 thirty miles south. I am soooo glad that I filled my 500 gallon tank with super cheap 4.00 fuel-:t and then topped it off with 4.19 two weeks later. Hopefully the price will drop before fall hunting season. The 5er might not be seeing a lot of trips this summer, but I need to go to the mountains and go fishing next week for my birthday present to myself):h It sure is a good thing that us state of Wyoming employees are getting a 4 % raise in July

Any recc. on what size tank would be good for road trips. I was thinking of a 75 gallon one (I don't want to fill up the entire bed). I have a roll-top tonneau cover so I would like it to be below the side rails.

I like the 60. Seems to be just right for the most part.

Will the 60 fit below the side rails and what shape are they normally. I plan to not pump from it, just transfer through the fill neck.

4.419 and you can only buy $75 worth per day which = 16.9 gallons and not even 3/4 of a tankfull!!!If you walk in before you pump and give them your card, you can fill up, no limit. It just means two trips to the counter.

BTW, $4.72 yesterday. I topped off the day before at $4.62. Ten cent jump in 1 day.

I'm paying $1.80 per litre for Diesel here in Australia, Converting it to USD and US Gallons it comes in a little over $7.60 US per gallon.

Last fill up costed me exactly $100 (US $96) to fill.....and I'm only driving a Mazda 6 2.2L Turbo Diesel.

I wish I was only paying $5 a gallon.....but I do get around 35 miles/gallon :)

Cheers

You've actually done well Mick. Today diesel has gone up over $1.85 in Melbourne....when I got my car at Christmas it was $1.25 - almost a 50% increase in 6 months.

At the rate I'm reading, which seem to correspond with fuel prices at the pump, I may have to relearn efi to achieve 60mpg with all the goodies I have. You two are worrying me.
