Great run, Keith. :Handshake:

What kind of engine changes have you done since your 1016 hp dyno run last summer?

Duramax has had the title for the fastest street truck for quite along time. Buck Spruill's truck is driven on the street, has plates and insurance card and runs 9.70 so far :thumb: I have personally driven his truck 40 + miles from his farm back to his house so it's a real street truck. Last time out to the track it was driven to the track, then tires changed and raced for the day then swapped back and driven home. Kieth's truck is running great now and is no slouch at all but isn't the quickest out there.

Doesnt Buck have lots of fiberglass body parts, no interior and slicks? That doesnt make it a NON street truck but i was just wondering. Im sure Keiths all metal truck will be in the 9s very soon too. Great job to Buck and Keith!

Buck does have some glass parts but it's still a street truck and driven as such. Plenty of vehicles have glass parts. The idea was to loss some weight but after it was all said and done he only lost 75 lbs if I remember right by doing the glass. Would never do it again nor recommend anyone else waste the money to do it. Buck's truck comes in at 6000 lbs and Kieth's came in at 6800 so Kieth is the heavier of the two. Buck's is an EC and Kieth's a CC, both truck run slicks when racing.

The weights I gave is with driver. The weight for Kieth's truck were the numbers given to me by Curtis (DPR) this past Saturday from the race track. I would assume he gave me those numbers from first hand knowledge as he built the engine and installed it. If it's off a couple hundred pounds then so be it but those are the numbers.

I was just curious as I saw the numbers creeping towards each other.:thumb:

I thought Keith had posted 7200 somewhere. I looked all over and couldn't find it. Maybe he'll get a chance to come by and post it for us.

I can't wait to see Keith creep up and pass the fastest street truck. Who ever that may be with what ever they are running. Race what you brung and race it well. Good for you Keith.

I believe that would be Buck still on #2 only. Kieth isn't far behind and I think if he was able to get down to the same weight as Buck it would be one hell of a race and fun to see.

I would like to see both truck on a CAT or other certified scale, MY CC weighs over 7K in race trim and I have no roll bar. Without stripping a ton of weight off a crew cab it would be difficult to get it at 6800 lbs with a driver.

Buck says his truck weighs 5800 and Keith claims a little over 7000.

IRRC thtose weights sound correct, especially with almost the entire interior missing, roll pan instead of a bumper, no hitch, fiberglass parts, no AC or extra's on Bucks truck, it has to be lighter than 6000 lbs.

Maybe take some weight off of Keiths and add weight to Bucks truck and run what ya brung.........:thumb:

Then we'll see who has the fastest street driven truck for sure.

Making the two weigh the same would be the only way to do it but i think Keith will out run Buck at full weight when he gets his tranny fixed. 10.35 coastin thru the traps on level 3...... Hmmmmmmm. Def a 9s pass in there.

Roper,North Carolina. It currently holds the title as the quickest 4x4 diesel truck but there is going to be a few Dodges trying to get that title back real soon. It's run several 9 second passes with a current best of 9.70

Keith is a pretty big guy so maybe tough with him as the driver. My 02 CC weighed 6850 with me in it in Redding at the scale they used for the sled pullers. I had taken off the spare, extra battery, tail gate and back seat. Still had the hitch and roller top and nerf bars on it. I weigh about 210. Very little fuel in it.
Hoping to get the 02 SC 4x4 to less than 5,500 lbs with driver. I don't think it will be difficult. Totally stripped cab, fuel cell, one battery, no AC, no heater core, no hitch, no rear bumper, Duraflite instead of Allison (at least 100 lbs there). Exhaust out the hood so no long exhaust pipe or stack. Roll cage adds weight, race wheels and tires may weigh a bit more as well. We'll see.

Wouldn't really be a "run what ya brung" if this was to take place now would it?;)
