Are the boost numbers in the tune/ read by the scan tool meant to be accurate, or possibly just a reference? I ask because I'm seeing 43-44 psi in my logs, but I've never seen more than 34-35 on my gauge.

I believe when you see 43lbs you are actually making 27lbs.

can that inaccuracy be fixed?

It's not an accuracy problem
If you are seeing psia, your numbers are accurate.

It's the psi-baro= boost
Turn key on/engine off, look at baro (or boost), depending on where you are at it will be 10,12,14, etc. Now when you are driving and see 45psi, you minus the baro (let's say 12) and you get boost. 45-12= 33psi of boost. :)

LOL ok i kind of understood that Baro being Barometric pressure?
If you turn the key on with a boost guage but dont start the truck it will still read boost?

No, they are talking about what you see when you log the pids using the EFILive scan tool. A boost gauge would give you actual boost pressure in the manifold. (without the truck running you would see 0psi boost)
