View Full Version : Stock exhaust chokes up about 20HP at the 450 level
Just thought the curious minds might like to know.
I run the stock exhaust on my truck because I like it quiet. On the everyday tune she did 440 with it bolted up, unbolted at the 4 bolt flange and put down 461. Then I bolted it back up and went on my merry quiet way.

I inadvertently got about the same results on the stock tune. See, I thought I was running your hot tow tune, but I am an EFI idiot.....and ended up running the stock tune. :(
Ran 285 with the stock exhaust and 305 with the 4" straight pipe.

i wonder if a performance exhaust would help that number or hurt it? i have mine open now for the noise, but if there is power in a muffler i'd be interested.

Is taking into consideration the 3" v-band arrangement removed at the old down pipe to exhaust connection? Or is this stock down pipe still installed?
Mike,
The stock DP is still in place.
