I think someone took a prybar or something and beat the hell out of the inside.

Just because I posted this does not mean I encourage you to go out and do this. IMO save the money and do it right, remember you did buy a 35K+ vehicle whats another $500 for exhaust.

You may want to talk to 05Smoker. His brother did something like that to his truck if I remember right.

If you are detemined to do it, DO NOT destroy the DPF..just get the same length pipe as the dpf and install that like a CAT delete pipe..if you ever had a warranty issue you would be on your own..just weld some bungs in the pipe for the sensors and call it good. Eventually CA emissions will apply nationwide and you don't want to have to buy a $2500 DPF down the road

I would wait for the full exhaust as well. My LB7 came factory without a cat thankfully, but even if it came with something like a kitty, I would only remove it if I could re-install for inspection purposes. I don't like the DPF's the more I hear about them. I would agree that it should be removed but in a safer way then destroying it.:thumb:

Just another reason to Live somewhere BESIDES California to me.. I live in OK.. and we put straights on EVERYTHING.. we dont have those tree huggers in our state offices making us do smog and emissions testing..

MOVE AWAY from the City.. its worth it I promise.

YEs definatley dont gut your DPF, just save up and bite the bullet, like said above a $400 exhaust better than buying a couple thousand dollar dpf.

Since MBRP does not have a minimum advertised price on their products, in order to help you get that exhaust sooner, I will sell you a 4" turboback at 5% over MY cost. :)

PM me for price.
