Here is Brian (hondarider552) and Brett (duramaxxx) after deciding they can do a driver side manifold install in the parking lot at speedworld raceway.
Bottle jack to short? Just bring a brick and a 2X4 with you. ):h

Why should you block your EGR and reroute the PCV?

Spray those bolts to help get them off.

Well, it killed an hour or so anyway, and provided some good entertainment for lots of people in the parking lot and now online.
Thanks guys! ):h
That's pretty cool. Looks like they had fun. Well maybe not but did they get home?

by the way my wrist really hurts trying to break loose that bolt on the manifold. still.......awesome....hahaha when i take it to chevy for the rear main seal i will have chevy put on the manifold cause they might have a tool for the up pipe bolts since the metal tube is in the way. i cant figure out what that pipe is. thanks brian for the help. even though my steering wheel was upside down and my boot came off. hahaha and yeah thanks for the photos im glad i can remember this dave, remember when brian said he was going to have a diy for this hahaha

I was going to snap pics of all the ones on Brians truck, but I only had 250 photos available on the memory card I had in the camera and I figured you guys would like to see some pics of trucks running too. ):h

A couple of words of advice from the old timers section.
Do not unhook the blue hose from the tube. Unhook it from the CAC from now on. Now to get it to hold you will need to clean everything thoroughly with brake clean and spray hair spray on it just prior to reinstalling it. :)

That may be so, but squeezing between the fender and the tire looks like no fun...but to each their own. Looks like alot of fun

That makes more sense.
Never put a brick or the like under a jack. Bricks can be crushed, which happens suddenly, and then the weight comes down on you fast.

True, it is a bad idea. In the end, they decided not to remove the tire as there was enough room in the fender well without removing it.

I think Brian has the hood release connected to the shifter knob. When he puts it in Park, the hood goes up. ):h

Well Brian like you said it wasn't difficult at all finding you guys in the parking lot , I just looked for the hood up on a DMAX HA! HA!. I had a great time watching you guys wrench.
Dave, did you by chance get any pics of the Dodge with the cast iron 8" stacks (WTF ?? ). That would get some interesting responses for sure.):h
